Ever Been Vaccinated for Yellow Fever?

I watched an episode of "The Rifleman" today and it involved a couple of people with yellow fever. From what I have read, back during that period of time it was not known that yellow fever is transmitted by mosquitoes. So the townspeople panicked.

I know it is not a problem in the United States, but it is in some other places on earth. So I am curious if anyone reading this has ever been vaccinated for yellow fever.

When I went to Panama and Puerto Rico (Army field training) we got shots. I’m certain malaria but probably others. Could have been Yellow Fever. I know I was bitten by about 20,000 mosquitos during the several months I was in each country.

peace to you

I believe I was given a shot for Yellow Fever as part of the immunization package of shots given to people who might be assigned to Viet Nam. I stood between two people who used "air injection tools" to inject me simultaneously in both aims, then I took one step forward and got "shot" again in both arm, then one more step forward and got injected again in both arms. Then I was told to go outside and do pushups. Just kidding...

When I was in Reception, they shot us up with the infamous "Silver Bullet", and it reportedly has Yellow Fever in it. If not it at least all the other shots we got. Just thinking of that makes my arm hurt....
