Yes, especially the ones who came prepared to fight. I like how Rudy Giuliani dealt with protestors when he became the Mayor of NYC. If you walked in a circle shouting slogans there was no problem, but if you started doing things like throwing bottles you quickly got arrested. The second person to do the same also got arrested. The end result was that the protestors quickly learned that violence of any sort would not be tolerated.

    Who is more to blame?
Well, we currently have a potential incident that should be the biggest issue right now, and there is a comparison. North Korea made a clear threat of nuclear attack. If we respond like the counterprotesters we would have bombed NK already. So who would be more to blame for the violence and upheaval?

Because something is legal does not make it right, moral, or ethical. They may not be legally liable but they are morally, and ethically culpable.

It is about protecting our rights. The far left and the far right are the flanks for the middle. Strip their rights and ours become closer to being stripped. The way our society thinks, hate speech at a Klan rally is not much different than "homophobic hate speech" in the pulpit.
I don't think the Klan cares much about morality or ethics. They claim to be doing the work of God, but I think most of them know better. Neither morality nor ethics has any bearing on their Constitutionally protected rights.

I haven't suggested stripping anyone of their rights.

Which is why we have to. :)

    I don't recall saying they did. :)

If they were legally exercising their Constitutional rights, they were not at fault.

Thank you. Honestly I thing this thread is heading to get out of hand. Emotions are high and delusions are strong.

Lest we forget, Steve Scalise almost lost his life at the hands of the Alt-Left.

Not very much. What is your position? Or will chicken out on this question, too?

A lot - If he has done nothing to deserve it.
A little - if he threatens innocent people.
Not at all - If he deserves it by throwing the first punch.
