Come to think of it, same here. Being on a committee means I'd have to be doing something instead of just warming a pew.

We can't form a committee. Don't you know about the 13th Commandment - "Thou shalt not committee."

Thats only for Primitive Baptists - Gen Assoc- Reguar Baptists will form a commttee, but let the chairman do everything. Americian Baptists will say they form a committee but wait until the State Association approves of it., IFB dont need no committee beacuse the Pastor does everthing anyways.
then the Conservative Baptist and the Two-seed-in-the Spirit Baptists ...

Southern Baptists have committees of committees. Forming a committee comes immediately after church membership.

Baptistteacher must be disciplined along with Saggy. He used a bad word twice in one post! The word "change" is not allowed in Baptist circles unless used in the church nursery.

I nominate Saggy to start a committee to collect donations of toothpaste and deodorant for the needy. I also nominate Salty to purchase more disposable diapers for the nursery.

I don't want to collect that. I want to collect what I want to collect.

    col⋅lect

2 /ˈkɒl[IMG]ɛkt/ –noun any of certain brief prayers used in Western churches esp. before the epistle in the communion service.
Saggy's done gone high church on us. While the committee on committees is forming a committee on whatever the committee on committees was forming a committee for - well, they ought to have a committee on this high church sort of thing. Unchecked they may supplant CCM with Gregorian chants.

OOOOoooooh! Saggy is not demonstrating a submissive attitude! On top of that she doesn't care about the needy.

Where did Salty go? Is he STILL comparing prices on the brands of diapers? Typical Baptist, doesn't want to spend money.

No, Salty wasn't pricing diapers. He was pricing Depends.

I am demonstrating submission. Mutual submission.

Depends adult diapers? Oh that will never do. It's not part of the Baptist uniform. I sure hope he doesn't wear those to church. It would be a distraction!

Know why Depends will never be part of the Baptist uniform? You have to change them. Regularly.
Does somebody have a testimony? Yes, Deacon Goesalot.

I am wearing the authorized version Depends. I have been wearing the same pair nigh on to 16 years now. Said right on the box they was good for up to 150 pounds and I don't think they weigh but an ounce or two. Don't see no reason to change just cause the younger folk are raising a fuss....

Nope. It is all modern singing, where it gets messy.
