    Particular disturbing is the use of the California law mentioned in the article to prevent minors who don't want to "grow up gay" from getting counseling to avoid that fate. Dr. Loudon points out that children who "choose to be gay" are required to get counseling to help them cope with the trauma they will face because of that decision, but the courts have denied counseling to those who don't want to be "gay."

    The reasoning is asinine.
