Does the govt then get to decide if you need a surgery - is it possible they will refuse some treatment?

It's simply awful - this guy is a Bernie Sanders supporter and he's trying to sell his plan to the dumb Americans by using doughnuts and what they're pushing isn't Medicare for all, it's Medicaid for all. And the study claimed that it would save 2T of healthcare costs by the government but this same study also concluded:

Doubling all currently projected federal individual and corporate income tax collections would be insufficient to finance the added federal costs of the plan.

    https://www.mercatus.org/system/files/blahous-costs-medicare-mercatus-working-paper-v1_1.pdf

Roughly 3,2T a year projected, and it will be much higher. The total budget expenditures are just under 4T. No way.

The last thing we need is something like the UK has--socialized medicine. The Koch Brothers have moved left in their quest for ever cheaper labor as they now call for open borders. As for government medicine and cradle to grave government control, why don't people just move to Cuba?

If this plan is so cheap, the best way to sell it might be to cut taxes to about ten percent on the middle class.

LOL. KenH is so obviously trolling.

But what the fatso in the video isn't telling you, is that when everyone is covered, then no one is. Scarcity will define the industry, and the scale of quality will plummet. A donut for everyone, but you have to wait 40 days for yours, and you'll get nothing to eat till then, and when it finally arrives, it will have worms in it.

Let government housing be a warning.

The op assumes the government would do it more efficiently. Wrong. Second it lumps in all kinds of things not part of the 32.trillion figure. The op would be better off eating donuts otherwise he doesn't know what he is talking about.

Hilariously ridiculous. Typical socialist screed to justify more government control and a lower standard of medical treatment for all.

More pie in the sky, everything is free in socialist utopia. :Rolleyes

Doughnuts are poisonous, but apart from that it is a very simplistic presentation.

The problem with the UK NHS includes underfunding & that results in expertise having to be bought from specialist companies making a profit, rather than keeping expertise &costs in house. Also since the NHS was formed primarily offering routine care for common conditions, many complex, costly life-extending procedures have been included. Litigation when procedures have gone wrong has become a significant cost.

Underfunding doesn't save costs, it increases them.

In the olden days, up to the year before before my father was born, if you became ill you & dependents suffered. Then the Liberal Lloyd George introduced the first "National Insurance Act." You, the employer & the government paid a few pence, when you were working. If you became ill, a few shillings were paid. Dad, the 8th in a poor family was given the names "Lloyd George."

Any treatment I & my family have had has been repaid out of our taxes.

Next up--a Bernie Sanders campaign aide explains how we can pay for free college education for all using Starbucks grande, venti, and tall coffees.

The age that Social Security is issued should be raised. Like Europe, we have millions of immigrants who do not want to assimilate and who are living off our welfare system. We need to have a moratorium on immigration until we can balance our budget and begin to pay down our national debt.

But you have millions of immigrants who have no desire to work and no desire to assimilate and they are going to put terrific demand on your goldbrick medical system.

And I forgot to add that you have a very weak Prime Minister who is strong-willed and vindictive, as shown by what she tried to do to Tommy Robinson. You almost would be better off with a Jew-hating leftist Labour government.

Think the medical system is overloaded now, even w/deductibles & co-pay?? Just wait until it's all "free"!!!

Every toe that is stumped, every splinter in a finger, every itch that doesn't disappear in 3 minutes, etc., etc., etc., will be an emergency room visit. Critical injuries will become fatal injuries when they can't get in the ER due to the backlog of sniffles cases!!

And these idiot dims figure that taxes will pay for all of it. When nobody is working 'cause of the gov't freebies, where in tarnation do they think the taxes are gonna come from??

Got it -- they DON'T think, they EMOTE!!!!
