Rufus, I like you enough, but I notice that you seem OK with writing off articles I have linked to as "neocon propoganda" with absolutely no elaboration. Why is it not OK for others ?

I thought I had provided elaboration. If there is a thread or post where you feel I haven't and would like me to, I'd be glad to do so.

Did you eleborate in my "Why they believe in conspiracy theories" thread, or did you write off Rich Galen, or whomever wrote it, as a neocon ? Have you belittled other articles that came from TownHall.com the same way ? (Pat Buchanan writes for them, and I can't see you calling him a neocon)

You have also written off articles from littlegreenfootballs.com, viciously, I may add, with no words about the particular article being referenced.

I could be wrong, but I do have a pretty good memory. I'll try to bring it to your attention if I see it happen again. It's no big deal, just an observation.

Pat Buchanan is not a neoconservative.

"A neoconservative clique seeks to ensnare our country in a series of wars that are not in America’s interest." - Patrick Buchanan

I am opposed to neoconservative ideology as I believe it to be masked liberalism and I believe neoconservative leadership in America places international interests above the interests of the United States of America. Further, I believe that they will lie, cheat and manipulate any situation to achieve their PNAC objectives. Thus, when ya'll give neoconservative resources as truth, I am predisposed to not trusting them and desire that a secondary source be provided before I will give any credence to what I believe to often by hyped propaganda. Keep in mind too that I'm a "truther moron" so that takes my world view in a whole different direction than folks that think 19 Muslims with boxcutters are responsible for changing our world.

LittleGreenFootballs uses similar tactics seen in this thread. They disagree with someone's position so they call them "idiots", "morons", or "haters". This is not debate, this is not open dialogue, it is immature name-calling and does nothing to advance discussion on important issues. How do people reason together if they just discount others because they're "Bush haters" or "Truther morons"?

    I candiggit.

I never called all truthers "morons". I called one a moron, cuz he was one. JFTR. People who violate personal space, interrupt answers, and act like they are the only people smart enough to know the real truth will always be morons, to me. Truthers, or not. It just happens that most truthers that get on TV act like that moron.

Well, I don't want to necessarily relive that thread but, intentionally or not, when you and LGF call him a "moron" you are calling me a "moron". I share at least a similar world view as that reporter and I believe he had a right and a duty, as a reporter, to apply non-violent pressure to extract information from these folks that can't seem to keep their stories straight.

When I see you act like him, I will call you a moron. Until then, I'm going to assume you like intelligent conversation, you give people a chance to answer your questions, and you allow for an appropriate time to ask the questions.

I don't agree with truthers, so I think they start off with a false premise, and they ignore facts that disagree witht their pre-concieved prejudices. However, I don't think all of them act like that guy. If they all do, then I'll avoid them.

If I went with my pre-conceived prejudices I'd still think steel-framed buildings fall at the rate of gravity because planes hit them (or don't hit them).

Anyway, I understand your views, though I am opposed to the name calling.

Any opinions on the content of Mr. Roberts article?

I get kinda sick when I read that much hate & vitriol.

We got a good view of how much a dictator he is when he couldn't get his amnesty bill passed over the will of John Q. Public.

Dictators do not support private business, but Bush's tax cuts have been great for small business, and our economy is in really good shape. There is plenty of opportunity in this excellent country. Only a liar could say otherwise.

And he is lieing when he says most Americans want Cheney impeached. There is no way to know, or prove that.

The article is full of hate, and opinion ruled by paranoia, with no provable facts. And you guys call us fearmongers.

What do you have to support this? Does Mr. Roberts ever call Bush an idiot, moron or any other name-calling hate tactic?

You suppose he and his ally Ted Kennedy are going to give up?

Opportunity for what? Working a service job because all of our manufacturing is gone? Opportunity to watch H1-B visa entrants take the remaining factory jobs that are here? Opportunity for seeing middle class service jobs go to Mexico, India and China? Opportunity to watch a housing collapse? Opportunity to watch the dollar implode to nothing because of trillions and trillions in debt, to be replaced by the Amero? What world are you living in that gives you all of this pie in the sky information? You're not getting your economic information from Limbaugh are you?

You find this information out via asking questions of the populace known as polls. I posted polls to support his position. You may disagree with the polls but he has a substantiated argument and he is not lying.

More hyperbole, devoid of specifics. Three pages of nothing. This thread can go in the trashbin.

The Republican Party started with Lincoln and the Constitution has been a dead issue ever since. Govt is for the millionaires and by ther millionaires. Democrat or republican millionaire, doesn't matter.

Riiight, because anyone who is opposed to your leftist president is a leftist?

Roberts wrote for the National Review and the Wall Street Journal, Roberts was on the staff of the conservative Ronald Reagan. He's not opposed to conservatives, he's opposed to you neoconservatives and it is obvious you have no argument to counter the things he wrote.

"Bush's conservative supporters want no debate. They want no facts, no analysis. They want to denounce and to demonize the enemies that the Hannitys, Limbaughs, and Savages of talk radio assure them are everywhere at work destroying their great and noble country." - Paul Craig Roberts

Roberts predicted over a year ago that, "A low yield, perhaps tactical, nuclear weapon will be exploded some distance out from a U.S. port. Death and destruction will be minimized, but fear and hysteria will be maximized. Americans will be told that the ship bearing the weapon was discovered and intercepted just in time, thanks to Bush’s illegal spying program, and that Iran is to blame."

He wrote in 2005 that Bush was about to nuke Iran and that "The Bush administration is moving toward initiating two more wars, one with Iran and one with North Korea.".

He has said that there would be no terrorism if Israel would stop stealing the West Bank from the Palestinians.

In April 2004, he asserted that Bush was about to reinstate the draft.

Roberts claimed last year that Bush is preparing concentration camps in the US.

He has been calling Bush supporters ‘Brownshirts’ for years.

Regardless of any service he may have performed during the Reagan administration, he really has nothing to offer now beyond wild theories and fear-mongering.

Don't let em grind you down Rufus. These guys use the very same techniques they complain so bitterly about others using. "Yer a mean ole Bush hater." "Yer a mean ole anti semite." Yer a mean ole white seperatist aren't ya fella? C'mon admit it...I won't quit askin till you do, and I'll try to be sneaky about it too!." All this stuff they keep trying to deny is becoming more evident every day even to the point of common knowledge, yet if you know it and they don't it's all yer fault, cuz yer a mean ole smarty pants (and that makes us hate you, you moron").

That's cool though, I get a kick out of it everytime the MSM (and these guys) pick up on something we've tried months (or years) before to talk about only to get shot down and called "haters" and such for our extra efforts.

Bush and our congress are funding known terrorist groups to "destabilize" Iran as I type. What do you call that, fighting terrorism? Spreading democracy?

Might as well just come out and say it, c'mon...Roberts is a mean ole anti semite jew hater.

The infrastructure for a draft is already up and waitng for the next terrorist attack real or false flag. Then you could be drafted into either the military or DHS in the "citizen corps".

It's documented that Halliburton got millions in contracts to build "immigration detention centers" in the USA. Funny business for folks who want to make illegals, legal. If all the illegals are legal who's going to be living in the brand new compounds? Those mean ole racist vigilantes who think America should remain sovereign and the borders secured?
Guess you missed the heated exchange between the BB Bush apologists and the "morons" in this thread. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and sounds like a duck, surprise, surprise it probably is a duck! Brownshirts? Naw, more like tan shirts. That's wannabe brownshirts that haven't got the heart to commit all the way, yet.
