We're in the hands of freedom's enemies, you know?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/19/AR2010041905049_pf.html

One of the quotes describes where we'll be 10-20 years from now:

I can see the headlines now, "Backyard Elementary was on lock down today by local swat, Action 12 was on the scene. A spokesman for the school released this statement, " Little Timmy (a forth 4 grade student) was found to be carrying an illegal substance in his lunch box. He offered this substance to several students in the lunch room during lunch period. Several students informed their teachers of Little Timmy's actions.

Little Timmy has been suspended for student endangerment and bringing a dangerous substance onto school property. A Crime Lab at the scene determined the dangerous substance to be Sodium Chloride. This dangerous substance goes by the street name "table salt". A team of medical professionals were at the school to provide medical exams for those students who may have taken "table salt".

The school principle said that a team of counselors will be at the school tomorrow to provide counseling for the students involved."

Why must our country be run by such stupid, power-hungry tyrants?

I'm still worried about the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide. It's everywhere. Even in every lake, river and reservoir in the country.

MP...is this one of those nanny state things you were concerned about? It's amazing how you cry nanny state at a traditionally conservative idea like National Prayer Day, yet there is no cry of nanny state when the liberal run FDA wants to regulate what we can eat.

Good one, MP! Give 'em some more time. They'll get it pretty soon. . .

Think I'll go have a glass of that dihydrogen monoxide now. . .

You boys obviously don't get the sarcastic humor. Oh well. Guess I had higher hopes for you.

Oh, I get the sarcastic humor. Where was your humor with the National Day of Prayer however? All you did is cry nanny state on that one. Once your beloved liberals are making policy however its all just fun and jokes.

You need to cut down on your lemon intake. It is making you all sour.

Yes, and you need to quit drinking the kool-aid. It's stopping you from being able to think independently.
And with that statement, you show your ignorance. Just because we disagree on some topics doesn't mean either of us has been "drinking" any kool-aid, or have not come to our conclusions based on evidence and reasoning. In fact, you're jumping to conclusions on this. I have not mentioned any opinion, one way or the other, on the salt issue.

And that's the point, isn't it? You had no problem telling us how the government would be a nanny state because of something like a National Prayer Day, but issues like this one and the health care bill garner no response from you regarding a nanny state. Both of these issues are much more nanny "stateish" than the National Prayer Day.

So you need the government encouraging prayer? What about encouraging us to dance naked for Mother Earth?

MP, check out the precentage of posts by Matt Wade that are insulting or attacking someone else. If it were equated to the defecit, it would rival Reagan's!

BTW, I wonder if he knows what dihydrogen monoxide is?

Why don't you graph that up for me since you have enough spare time on your hands to just follow me around and post off topic remarks on my every post?

No, of course I don't need the government to encourage me. Do you need the government to dictate how much salt you an intake?
