Anyone that knows me here, knows I DO NOT want Obama for president...

I stand firmly opposed to most of what he stands for.. .except NCLB. (No Child Left Behind) issues... I agree with him on those...

But in the spirit of fairness and truth, we need to check our emails we receive, and not believe everything we get on Obama...

Obama has set up a website to debunk many of the myths...

    Fight the smears

Even though you don't agree with Obama, at least be Christianlike in the disagreements...

OK, I'll be back after I go puke!

Ok, I'm back. What other candidate have we had in modern American history that has evoked this type of protectionism and shielding from hard questions and scrutiny?
Why is this? Has he been treated unfairly? No, all other candidates have had to be big boys and girls and were subject to trial by fire, politically.
The only reason I can see is because he is a minority and the white populace are falling all over themselves to prove that they can indeed vote for a black man.
And if they can't vote for him, doggoneit, they will bend over backwards to prove that they are fair, open-minded, and not a racist, because after all, if you do not fall in line behind the anointed one of the Democratic Party you are subject to be viewed as a racist bigot!
White folks have been programmed to carry the cloak of guilt so well!:BangHead:
    SICK!

You guys can't cleanly punch a chad, then your Dems vote early in the Primary. Maybe we just give the state back to Spain and call it a day! :wavey:

The debacle of chads was an opportunity for Dems to create votes for who they wanted. All the idiocy going on here falls completely on the Dems.

You guys both beat me to it. I doubt I have ever been as opposed to a candidate as Sen Obama, I am ready and willing to jump in and oppose him on every issue of substance.

However, it is dead wrong to attack a man because of his middle name, where he went to school when he was 5 or 6 years old, or use known misquotes to attack him.

I don't know why some find it impossible to oppose him on the real issues.

There is a thread running, though, IMHO sensationally titled, that deal with his support of the Freedom of Choice Act. That is a real issue that needs to concern every thinking American Christian.

I am not fan of the action in Iraq, but Obama supports a foolish cut and run plan that can only lead to even more problems.

His "Robin Hood" tax plan has never and will never work. It is a political move to garner votes.

These and more are the issues Americans need to be aware of, not a misquote from one of his books or a "maybe he might not be a citizen" discussion.

Sorry, Roger, I disagree. You are giving Obama a pass once again.

Right, these words of mine give him a "pass."

If he was as passionate about the things said about President Bush he would seem consistant but has remained silent.

Sure it's not the topic of this thread, but there have been other threads that have slandered Bush and the current administration that you have remained silent on. So, although it is not the topic of this thread you have had the opportunity to present yourself as the fair and balanced Administrator you say you are in those threads.

I also am not the topic of this thread.

However, when Pres Bush is attacked because of his family, middle name, and education. Or when misquotes and made up quotes used to attack him you will see my jumping to his defence.

I am not fan of President Bush, but have many times defended him from unjust attacks.

Now, can we return the topic and leave me out of it?

I find it amazing that in thread after thread I have become the topic of discussion and that my very real condemnations of Sen Obama are ignored.

This thread was not set up to bash Roger...

It was set up to show that even though we dislike Obama, we can be Christ-like while doing it...

Obama has all the wrong policies...

    Period.

Why bring up his Birth Certificate? Who cares...
Did anyone even believe that it would have not been brought up before now?

Why do Christians want to bash people with gossip and lies?
ESPECIALLY when the truth is there, in plain sight to bash him with...

    He is for abortion rights.
    He is for gay marriage.
He wants to fix all problems by creating funds to do so...
He wants to pull out of Iraq without a plan... (Of course, Bush went in there without a plan.... lol)
But I have noticed that his tone has shifted on the Iraq issue...
In his speech the night he declared victory over Hillary, he alluded to the fact that it may not be an easy task to just pull out.

Point is... Why bash him with fluffy stuff? Bash him with the hard stuff...
Stuff that plainly pits him against God!

Exactly. There is so much heavy stuff to get him on, why play the other game?
