Book TV on CSPAN2 this coming Sunday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. CST will have a three hour interview and call-in session with Francis Fukuyama who was one of the intellectual heavyweights in the ascendancy of neoconservativism in American politics. It should be an interesting program as he has rejected the militarism of the Bush administration in attempting to spread democracy.

His latest book just published is entitled, America at the Crossroads: Democracy, Power, and the Neoconservative Legacy.

Sounds like it should be an interesting show for anyone interested in U.S. foreign policy.

I didn't think that Fukuyama considered himself a neo-con, but I may be wrong. Then again, I might be thinking of John Yoo. :D

Well, ftr, Fukuyama signed the PNAC Statement of Principles - www.newamericancentury.org/statementofprinciples.htm . [IMG]

Also, in his NYT article that I posted a couple of weeks ago, he stated, "Neoconservatism, as both a political symbol and a body of thought, has evolved into something I can no longer support."

If he can no longer support it, then he must have previously supported it. [IMG]

You're wight. I'm wrong once again. Well, I'll take comfort that at least I'm right about the right things. :D

You're "wight"? Where did that come from? I must have slipped into my Elmer Fudd personality again. I gotta start back on the medication.
