MARRIAGE DIGEST: With Gillibrand, 'gay marriage' gets another Senate supporter

Posted on Jan 23, 2009 | by Michael Foust

WASHINGTON (BP)--If supporters of "gay marriage" want a boost of confidence, they merely need to look at the U.S. Senate, where the number of supporters of "gay marriage" has grown quietly within the past year -- and apparently grew further Friday with the naming of a new senator from New York.

One year ago, only two U.S. senators -- Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts and Russ Feingold of Wisconsin -- publicly backed the legalization of "gay marriage." Today, that number is up to at least six, and could inch even higher depending on what happens to the open seat in Minnesota. All of the Senate's "gay marriage" backers are Democrats.

Both of California's senators, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, came out for "gay marriage" last year during their failed bid to prevent the passage of California Proposition 8, which defines marriage as being between one man and one woman.

Some here have praised this new senator because of her stance on guns. While I cherish our second ammendment rights, I believe issues relating to values should take precedence.

It is getting harder and harder to find a Politician that stands on all the issues that I care about. It is almost as if there is a concerted effort to divide us.

Yes, there is, and we know who is behind it. If satan can keep us fighting amongst ourselves then we don't have time to go out and win the lost.

Satan, is indeed involved and it seems that those in the highest offices of this nation are taking verbal instruction directly from him. However to respond to the lost's need of salvation we do need to be of one accord. Standing against sin in high office is part of that calling, even if it means our own heads. Just ask John the Baptist about that one or Daniel, Jeremiah and the rest.

It's not at all surprising that all the backers of homosexual marriage are Democrats. They are against morality and for immorality.
