    Thanks bill, I recall the story now, didn't know the players though.

    "President Herbert Hoover then ordered the army to clear the veterans' campsite...."

    I'd say the buck stopped here though, and among other things, I'm sure it didn't help him in the November election either.

    I've always assumed he was merely "hot rodding"-----you know---"petel to the metal" type celebration:type::type:
