    Heya chaps,

    Sorry if I'm not meant to do this, but I don't see any reason why I shouldn't.

    I've just had one of those days. Been run off my feet since 0645 and haven't stopped now, and it's 2355!!! ARGH!!! Today was my first day as Class Leader, which means that I get loads of paperwork, and have to keep my Division in check, make them smart and not out of line. Sounds easier than it is.

    Some of the guys don't like taking orders from a 19 year old. Which is really silly coz you're going to have to take orders from people who you don't want to in the real world but they just don't seem to get it.

    Whatsmore, I joined the Forces on the premise that my fellow Officers would be mature and grown up, but no, I have an annoying 18 year old who just doesn't shut up, and he's Irish so he has such an annoying accent, ARGH!!! Sorry, not all Irish/NIrish people do, just him coz he's annoying...permanently.

    Now, I think I might go to bed and have a sleep for hours, well, I'm up at 0600 coz I'm on Duty, woohoo! What more do I want, duty and Class Leader...you know, I don't know what I'd do without the Father. I am just putting all my Faith and this week especially, in His hands.

    You know, I spose this isn't that bad, I mean, the Lord had to suffer death on a Cross...then again, did He have an annoying 18 year old Irishman beside Him? No, he had interesting criminals. Don't know which company I'd rather keep.

    Right, bed time now,

    Goodnight, God Bless and God Save the Queen,

    Yours Aye,

    Mark [IMG]

    I'm sorry! [IMG] I'll pray for you, 'kay? i'm feeling sorry for you. I know what it's like to give orders to those who don't want them.

    Hey... Dont worry about it. I babyset little kids and well, they dont like taking orders from a 14 year old. Some of the kids I watch are 9 and 10, and they think it is wrong that some one at my age gets to tell them what to do. Well, I will be praying for you. Tell me how everything goes in your next class.

    I'm confused...nothing unusual for me :rolleyes: .... but what do those numbers mean?
    Anyways, I'm sorry you're having a hard time....some days are so awful I'd like to pull my hair out...and thats A LOT of hair!
    If the young man is Irish, he might have a temper to go with the accent {couldn't be as bad as mine though, I don't think! LOL, that was one thing my Irish roots DEFINATLY passed down!} if he does, I really am sorry! I'll pray for ya today!
    "Be ye angry and sin not..." remember you can be angry about things, just try not to sin in doing it.
    May the Lord help and give you longsuffering with these folks.

    Oh Kay Dee! I feel for ya! Once I had eight of the kids from church at one time ages one year to twelve years....HELP! :eek: :D
    Two of the boys were 11 and 12, and boy they sure hated that a 14 {I was at the time} year old got to tell them what to do.
    LOL, their mom told me jokingly if they got rowdy to lock em in a closet....that became very tempting a few times that evening! :rolleyes: [IMG]
    Isn't it great to know God can give grace and patience? {If only I had more of the patience!}
    "My grace is sufficient for thee...." AMEN for that verse!

    I am glad someone out there knows just how I feel when it comes the babysitting. The kids that are 9 and 10, are doing much better. I am thinking they are starting to like me. What kind of games do you think I should play with them, to keep them busy?

    LOL, and I thought I was the only babysitter to have a baby spit up down my dress, or blow snot in my hair...LOL or have the young boys do their best to lock me somewere.... [IMG] Ah it's so much fun learning!
    Hehe, the things I did with them was let them help with things {setting tables, picking up toys} sounds like somehting they'd hate right? I tried to have a room cleaning contest. Put one kid in each room and time to see who straghtens up best...and fastest! And they have to do it right!
    Let's see, hide and seek {within reasonable boundries...ie, the whole neighborhood wouldn't be a good idea with little ones!} Mother May I?, Red Light Green light, and if you have a lot of kids and actualy nderstand sports {LOL, I don't!} you could put em together to play baseball or something. Little ones usualy like colering, pretend, and house! LOL, can't tell ya how many "make overs" little girls wanted me to give or how many times I was the "child" in house!
    I've let em help make simple things in the kitchen {NO using the stove for them though! YIKES that'd scare me to death!}
    LOL, know all about kids that think they too old for a baby sitter, or think I'm too young for em! That's when your firmest voice comes to use. Be firm so they know you ARE in charge while mom and dad are are gone, but show em love and really play with them so they aren't bored and know you care about em.
    One thing I did if they parents would let me was take em to church sometimes....LOL, once we had two carloads of yonguns going to fall festival at church with me! I even took a one year old boy!
    I don't get to babysit much anymore. My neighbor lady that had four little {very young! like ages 1 year to seven years} moved away, and the others are old enough to be at home.
    Although I'm having a great time with nursery at church! {Now if only I could hold a baby without crying...... :rolleyes: }
    Have fun Kay Dee! Children are precious......part of the time! [IMG]
