Ironic. Even this enviro-whacko newspaper seems to call him and his friend foolish.

....Apparently, while all of Prof. Schneider's friends were assuming that the July trek would be to Greenland, during Northern Hemisphere summer, his plans were actually to snowmobile to the South Pole - which, in July, is in the dead of winter.

Mr. Dolittle related how some people do not realize that, even if there has been warming in Antarctica, the average temperature at the South Pole in July still runs about 70 degrees F below zero. "Some people think that July is warm everywhere on Earth."

"And I was surprised to see how close they got to South Pole Station. They ran through all of their gas supplies for the snowmobiles", explained Doolittle. "They had cold weather gear and clothes, but during this time of year you just don't go outside unless it is an emergency."

"At least James died for something he believed in", said Mrs. Schneider. "He died while trying to raise awareness of the enormous toll that global warming is taking on the Earth."

I do not share Mr Jim's glee. I do find heavy irony in the story. And I find it hilarious that you would tell anyone how a Christian would act.

I don't think he's laughing at a death, but at the global warming and 70 below cold enough to freeze to death, the facts, not the death.
And I think bro curtis is right when it comes to you telling people how christians should act.

Heavy irony, indeed. I have often thought that these radical environmentalist types were off their rocker and this just further proves my theory.

Hey, Bro. Curtis,
Just have a good laugh.

It is part of the times we live in:

Information which is real. Information purposely false. Information sensationalized to distract us from hearing, reading, talking about.... or finding out what important is going on. And people, possibly acting out a choregrphed drama to purposely mislead (mis-impress) us. The honor in honesty is removed from those institutions which we used to have such high regard and on which we still must depend for information, for education, for leadership. For news.
