    Just days before former Vice President Al Gore’s scheduled visit to testify about global warming before the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment & Public Works, a high profile climate debate between prominent scientists Wednesday evening ended with global warming skeptics being voted the clear winner by a tough New York City before an audience of hundreds of people.

    Before the start of the nearly two hour debate the audience polled 57.3% to 29.9% in favor of believing that Global Warming was a “crisis”, but following the debate the numbers completely flipped to 46.2% to 42.2% in favor of the skeptical point of view. The audience also found humor at the expense of former Vice President Gore’s reportedly excessive home energy use.

    Unfortunately, global warming is not up to a vote. It'd be real easy to fix if it were.

    Once again, Solomon's observation applies: "He who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him." (Proverbs 18:17) The more knowledge people obtain about the real facts of the issue, the more they realize that there is no 'crisis' at all, and that what global warming does exist has very little to do with any human activity. The whole 'crisis' mentality has been manufactured by those with an ideological agenda and/or a vested interest to promote, and by their 'useful idiots,' of whom Al Gore is the foremost.

    I'm not saying global warming isn't real, but the objective data indicate that it's due to causes mostly (if not entirely) outside of human activity and control, and that it's not anywhere near as dramatic as the 'true believers' want us to think.
    Btw, it was almost 80 here today. But that had nothing to do with CO2 emissions. ;) Back to the 50s tomorrow.
