Ever hear the song, "God Blessed Texas" by Little Texas? I love it! Anyway, off the subject... ;)

There's a sign on the border somewhere that says "You are now leaving Texas. How could you?"

Texas has now accepted over 250,000 flood victims. God bless Texas and the good people there.

I saw a man from Houston on tv trying to "adopt" a family to take to his home. For some reason he wasn't allowed to.

I grew up in TX and the people there are very friendly AND generous.

The name "Tejas" was given to the state for a reason. [IMG]

I just saw on tv that the evacuees (up to 4,000)from Houston had a chance to live on cruise ships (2) in Galveston. They refused. They either liked Houston too much or they were afraid of being on the water.

TEXAS IS CERTAINLY DOING A WONDERFUL JOB [IMG] [IMG]

I don't blame them for avoiding water! [IMG]

As a former (and hopefully future) Houstonian, I applaud the State of Texas and the City of Houston for their generosity in helping a neighbor in need.

    MP,

LOL. I don't blame them either. They have to be very traumatized to decline a room and bath of their own. I am glad there is a lot of prayer going up for them.

I grew up in TX and lived right outside of Houston. I haven't been back there since my Mom's funeral in 1987. I heard I would not even recognize the town where I grew up.

LG, if you don't mind me asking, what town did you grow up in? I moved away in the early 1990s and have been back a few times. It is quite different than it was.
