GOP Voter Fraud Accusations Suddenly Blowing Up In Their Faces

Law and order Republicans ................ Came back to bite them, didn't it.

Republican officials, who have used hysteria about alleged voter fraud as an excuse to support measures that disproportionately block Democratic voters, are furiously trying to distance themselves from a growing number of GOP voter registration drives that either submitted false applications or threw away authentic ones.

The incidents might have been overlooked if not for the GOP's clamorous campaign to restrict registration drives, purge voter rolls, roll back early voting, and pass voter ID laws that opponents point out have the effect of depressing the vote among minorities, the poor and other generally Democratic constituencies.

As one Southern California alt-weekly put it, it's turning into a story of "The Wolf Who Cried Wolf."

The latest drama began to unfold on Oct. 17, when the manager of a Tuesday Morning discount store in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley saw a man throwing a garbage bag into the store's private dumpster. Inside the bag was a file folder containing eight completed Virginia voter registration forms.

The manager described the man to Rockingham County sheriff's deputies, who the following day arrested Colin Small, 23, a voter registration drive contractor for the Virginia GOP -- and charged him with eight felonies and five misdemeanors related to the destruction and disclosure of the applications and obstruction of justice.

A few weeks earlier, the GOP had been under fire following reports of suspicious registration applications that had been submitted in 10 Florida counties by a company run by Nathan Sproul, a Republican operative who has long been trailed by allegations of voter fraud. The Republican Party paid Sproul's company, Strategic Allied Consulting, about $3 million this year for registration drives in five swing states: Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Nevada, and Virginia.

In Palm Beach County, Fla., alone, about 100 questionable voter registrations were flagged, more than half of which involved changing a voter’s party affiliation to Republican or independent. Discrepancies were also found in North Carolina.

Yawn. This hunting for reasons to vote against a Republican just because he's a Republican stuff is getting old. Face it, the Democrats are just as good at the dirty tricks and just as bad at leadership.

If you do a Google search for election stealing the liberals are all buzzing all over the internet. The reason the UN inspectors have come into the US is because the Democrats asked them to come. If Romney wins Democrats are going to tie up the results of this election until they can find a way to turn and twist votes for Obama. Remember "hanging chads" "dimpled chads". That is often blamed on the state of Florida but the fact is it was solely the Democrats in a few counties in Florida. That is the kind of ridiculous tactics Democrats do.

From the story given in the Fox link above (the only one that works) it is unclear what the context was surrounding what the contractor was doing. I suppose we will find out. But in any case this election is going to be a big mess the Democrats will see to it.

1. In this instance there was no voter fraud. More accurately, voter registration forms were disposed of.

2. CrabTownBoy is within his rights to post this article. A better title would have been "Republicans Disenfranchise Voters in Virginia."

3. This is a problem for the Republicans to explain. How can they assure voters that this sort of activity is not widespread?

4. Posting that the Dems are guilty of similar actions does not dismiss or diminish what this Republican did in Virginia.

Actually, my posting of Democrat fraud challenges the O/P, in establishing the GOP accusations are bearing fruit.

It was no challenge Bro. It was just your attempt to derail another thread.

You know it would not be as big a news story as it is if the Republican folk had not been screaming about stopping voter fraud for several years. It was always the other guys of course. Seems they felt it did not apply to them. It is rather like preaching against drinking while taking nips in the closet.

These are like the Republicans preaching family values only to be found that they did not practice what the preached.

If you are going to preach ethics you best be ethical. These folk were not and they got caught.

p.s. Rev. all the links worked that you cut and pasted on my computer. Maybe your computer is having a problem or, well, maybe the problem isn't the computer but ..................................

During your support of the murder of children through abortion, you would do well to remember the word of God.

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; Prov 24:17

He who mocks the poor taunts his Maker; He who rejoices at calamity will not go unpunished. Prov 17:5

Totally off topic and also a misstatement. I have never said I favor abortion. You really should apologize for that one. You are reading too many statements from some on the board who continually post that misrepresentation of my beliefs.

So do not mock me or God. Thanks.

Back on the topic. I have a friend in VA who may be on the young fellows defense team in Virginia. Received an e-mail from that relative saying the young fellow was poorly trained by the GOP folk and was led astray by some of the upper GOP folk. Now they have him in a peck of trouble. Perhaps ruined his life. But I doubt they care if their candidate wins.

Of course you support abortion. You support it every time you support any law or candidate who seeks to establish, increase, and protect the murder of unborn children. Every snide comment you make here about those trying to abolish the legalized murder of children is also support of abortion. And the joy you take in trying to tear down those seeking to obey God and protect the "least of these" is mockery and worse.

In no way have I mocked you nor God. In fact the point of my post was to draw attention to your mockery of those trying to fight against the murderers you seek to defend and support.

I don't judge you. It's not my job. "Who are you to judge the servant of another?" Rom 14:4

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." Prov 9:10 and Psa 111:10 I fear the Lord's judgement on those who take the lives of the innocent and who establish evil among us. Whom do you fear? How does mockery fit in with that fear?

Then you support the starvation of the elderly by wanting to cut funding to organizations like Meals On Wheels.

For I was hungry and you did not gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you did not gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invited me in ........................

You support the death of the poor who cannot afford to visit doctors.

You say you love the unborn, but you support candidates who want to cut funding to the feeding of poor and needy children. So you support candidates who will let children go malnourished which leads to illness and possibly early death. Thus, by your logic, you support the slow killing via starvation and disease of children after they are born.

Come on ... get real.

I am sure you say that human life begins at conception and you want to protect it. Why not protect that same life after it is born?

In no way have I mocked you nor God. In fact the point of my post was to draw attention to your mockery of those trying to fight against the murderers you seek to defend and support.

I don't judge you. It's not my job. "Who are you to judge the servant of another?" Rom 14:4

But judging is exactly what you have done. Don't pull this self-righteous clap-trap. It won't stick.

But again, you are off topic. The topic is voter fraud.

Turns out I don't reveal my political leanings on this site, so I'm not sure why you'd assume these things about my beliefs. Your belief that I don't support children after birth is beyond reason and well into the realm of bitter emotion and grasping for any hold in an unjustifiable position.

The false comparison between the murder of children versus the care of the poor and elderly also assumes that one political party takes care of the poor and elderly better than the other party. You've presented no evidence that this accusation is true, and I reject it until you do.

Your post itself is just as much a part of this thread as the story you gleefully report.

My righteousness is not the issue here, though I understand your desire to make it so to deflect facing the consequences of your actions.

You are responsible for what you do with the power given you. You are responsible for your vote. We all are.
