Jim, I know they would learn alot of great stuff from accesing your computer. They would see your obvious commitment to Jesus. But when they see the huge amount of Christian material could they not see that as a threat? What if they see my oposition to the President's health care program and want to keep me quiet (I know, I am flattering myself) so they send a virus that destroys my computer or if they decide to put other material that we would find objectionable to cause us trouble?

I know that sounds far fetched but in the 60's it did exactly that without the computers against those the FBI thought were subversive.

since I personally paid for , with no governement monies what so ever, if they're going to search my computer they'd better have a warrant to invade my privacy.
This program was a scam to get people to log onto their site so they'd be able to access their computers. What they are looking for I don't know. Dangerous people I guess, anti abortion people, committed christians?

Edger Hoover trying to sweep out the crooks, and McCarthy, who was trying to expose the "communists"........What rackateers they were in their own right and all in the name of government.......were they communists themselves too?

So it is not a myth for a dealer...

And I say those dealer computers are not the property of the Government they are the property of that dealer.

Could this be a way for Government Motors to spy on competition?

Asked a computer geek in the Secret Service and he says it is not true.

It's not difficult for anyone with the time and know-how, citizen or gov't, to view internet traffic as it is traveling across the wires. It's not legal, but pretty easy to do.

Their answer:

In what way was the Patriot Act more intrusive?

If the government can access any file on my auto dealer's computer then they can access any information about me included on the dealer's system.

By what right can the government do that?
