NPR is radio Media not newspaper. liberal radio news media struggles to survive when conservative radio news media flourishes.

Magnetic, you mean like the person who displays every post:

socialist=communist=atheist...........

Well, I am socialist, but I am sure not communist or atheist! I get the feeling that some wouldn't know one if they met one.

Cheers,

Jim

:applause: You are so right...they wouldn't know an atheist or communist if one walked in the front door for dinner.

Because of the opprobrious epithet "liberal," today they call themselves “moderates.” A skunk by any other name still stinks!~W.A.Criswell

I haven't shown any callousness toward anyone losing their job. Nor have I show any disdain fro the free flow of ideas. I have spoken to neither of those issues that several of you have imposed upon me. But what do I know seeing as you guys know my position better than I do. I will back off now and let you guys finish telling me what I think.

Re-read the title you put on the thread. You were thrilled that people were going to loose their jobs. You were delighted that they will have problems. That showed extreme callousness.

You showed a very un-Christian attitude toward others.

Not only do you delight in others troubles, you love to insult. Do you do this in your sermons? I cannot imagine how happy you will be if we go into a full blown depression. How a person can call themselves a minster of Christ's teachings while being so disdaneful and hate filled toward others is beyond me.

NPR donations are down, not because of liberal nor conservative leanings, but because of the tanking economy brought about by George and company.

I do not care for public radio, as it has a very liberal slant. That has nothing to do with others rejoicing when people earning an honest living lose their jobs. The statement is almost beyond belief.

For individuals who depend on the tithes and offerings of those who do work for a living, go to work everyday, raise their families, and pay the taxes, you may find it amusing that they suffer by a job loss, but mark my words, as the economy gets worse, your tithes and offerings will dry up. Then, maybe your cushy office will disappear, then some of the church staff, then it could be, just maybe, one finds themselves bivocational with a side job at McDonalds. Then lets see how funny it is.

What goes around comes around.

National Public Radio said Wednesday that it's laying off 7 percent of its staff, its first downsizing in 12 years, after experiencing sharp declines in funding, especially from corporate sponsors

==I don't believe we should celebrate when people lose their jobs. No matter who they are. These are people with families who have bills. Now they have go out and try to find another job in a very tight market. That is not "great news" for anyone and we should never celebrate it. Your attitude is very unBiblical (Pr 24:17, Matt 24:43-48). So instead of defending your attitude maybe you should just repent.

I enjoy listening to the classical music on NPR. It is practically impossible to find Christian musicians who can play classical music so well.

I'm sure not all people employed by NPR completely agree with every single thing NPR says/does. They are just trying to do their job and make ends meet. If we have to agree with every little thing our employers do, most of us would be jobless!

Come on, Crabby. Can't we have one thread that doesn't bash Bush? :saint:

If you have XM Radio, check out Holiday Pops. It is a wonderful channel of classical Christmas music.
