Your lack of consistency - while lecturing others on inconsistency is hypocritical.

When have you ever criticized Obama or the Democrats as you are doing here with the Republicans?

What is your equivalent insult for the Democrats to match what you are saying here with "God's Own Party"?

No Republican makes that claim - it is a term created by Democrats and liberals and is meant to insult.

So prove your consistency and repeat your previous insults of Democrats and liberals - if you can.

Funny how we can't stick to the issue when the truth can't be 'refudiated' isn't it?

The point is I don't need to criticise the Democrats. They is plenty of that going on here.

My point is that both sides are evil. There is no virtue in either party and i strongly dislike the fact that one party is given a free ride by Religious Right.

So, we can we admit yet that these guys should have shown up to be sworn in before they voted?

Gotta run for a while - all the best

Who knows what your point is?

First you said that it was unconsititutional - that didn't pan out because the Rules Committee didn't see it that way.

Then you went to a lack of consistency - because no-one other than you and Crabby are making a big deal out of this.

But that doesn't pan out because there is nothing here to criticize the Republicans for - the Rules Committe just re-swore them in - just to be on the safe side.

Then when called on your hypocrisy in complaining about a lack of consistency - you switch to sticking to the topic as the topic.

And now your point is that both sides are evil.

But one sure wouldn't get that from your OP.

So prove that you are not a hypocrite - and refer me to your previous criticism of Obama and the Demoncrats.

The Rules Committee did not see it that way? Yet they invalidated the votes a swore the guys in again?

If that's the case then they are spineless e
leaders who can't stick to their guns.

I never admitted it was not a constitutional issue. The Rules Committee makes the rules and they ruled the votes invalid. Seems like they agreed with crabtownboy and me.

And no, I am not going to dig through my posts over the last few years to satisfy satisfy you. There have been plenty of criticisms of the president and his policies. I will admit that I have never joined the silly attacks that get our eyes off his real problems and lack of leadership ability.

There are plenty of threads to criticize the Democrats. Why not one to be critical of the other guys?

I am pretty sure there is, but not dead certain. Not going to try and peruse some 20,000 posts.

Besides, I dont need to, there are plenty already there.

Funny how this thread's focus has changed from two guys who skipped the swearing in and then voting to a focus on my posting patterns.

So is it wrong to post a thread critical of the GOP?

    Interesting!

I gather from the back & forth on this thread that a coupla of the posters are identical twins; least from the rhetoric that comes from each it appears thus!!:BangHead::rolleyes:;)

Nothing is wrong with a thread critical of the GOP.

What is wrong is your insistence in mischaracterizing the situation as unconsitutional - when the Constitution does not spell out how a member is to be sworn in. Sorry - but the fact that they were sworn in again does not prove unconstitutionality - nether does the fact that the votes were invalidated.

What is wrong is your mischaracterization of others - accusing others of believing the Republicans to be our nations redeemers (or whatever your nonsense was) - of accusing others of believing the GOP to be God's Own Party.

And in my opinion - what is especially wrong is your hypocritical calling of others as inconsistent while you have shown yourself to be the same.

I appreciate the fact that you use the word 'inconsistancy' instead of 'hypocrisy.' There is no doubt that there is an inconsistency on this board which leads toward the GOP. I have admitted that I choose to spread out the criticism to include the GOP. Both sides deserve it. I could join the chorus of anti-Obama voices, but that side is well represented on this particular forum, so I choose to try and balance the criticism.

Anyway, this has been fun, but I have a busy weekend ahead. I should never have dug into this. My daughter-in-law's leukaemia is back and that is eating up my timd at the moment.

I appreciate the fact that though this thread has sadly been personalised the name calling has been limited.

I really do need to step away for a few days. Thanks for the generally friendly discussion.

    Puh-leeeze! It's too late C4. You've been made.

This is low. Unable to convince anyone of your political indifference you exploit the condition of a stricken girl in an attempt to silence your opponents.
