Maybe I didn't have the right Mil-Specs. Maybe they couldn't come up with either my Usable-On-Code numbers. Coulda' bin they lost her Federal Stock Number(s)......Or somethin' like that.

The military has a way of changing us. But then again, I dont think you were military - you were Air Force - right?

The USAF is far above and beyond those poor souls who are wont to remain on terra firma.
One would do well to recall the words penned by our brothers to the North of us (RCAF) when he stated (during WW2) that only those whose vision is upward can truly assert that they've, "....Reached out, and touched the Hand of God."
Salty, I'd recommend that you set your personal standards a bit higher than apparently you have opted to do.
And, if not, your frau might have some means by which she can encourage y'all to do so! :thumbs:
FWIW --- Here is the poem to which I referred in my previous post.
It's entitled High Flight, and was written by John Gillespie Magee, Jr. (1922-1941), the son of missionary's to China.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, --- and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of --- wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air....
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace.
Where never lark, or even eagle flew ---
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
--- Put out my hand, and touched the Face of God.
