An 85-year-old woman boldly went for her gun and busted a would-be burglar inside her home, then forced him to call police while she kept him in her sights, police said. "I just walked right on past him to the bedroom and got my gun," Leda Smith said.

Awesome. Gun sales are up in my area. My gun store said they are selling a lot of guns to older folks.

Good for her! I'm glad he didn't take the gun from her and shoot her with it.

In towns where guns are required crime has gone down.

In a church I was pastoring there used to be a man in the church who liked to wield his power one too many times. One day he met up with a man who regularly carried a gun to church and it changed the troublemaker's life forever. The gun was never used but the troublemaker was shown where the gun was concealed when he tried to make trouble for another. The troublemaker naver made trouble again.

So sometimes a little extra power works well. It certainly did in that case. It made the church a better place to be. It actually helped the church to grow when the troublemaker stopped making trouble.
