I use Feedly on my mobile devices. It is a great news feed service. It's been attacked by hackers with a distributed denial of service attack. The hackers are asking for money to restore service, but Feedly is not giving in. Good for them for standing up to hackers!
-------------
Feedly is currently suffering a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack, it announced earlier this morning on its blog.

You may have noticed that you can’t access the website or load any of your feeds via the app. Feedly explained in a short message two hours ago that the DDoS perpetrator is holding Feedly to ransom and asking for money to stop the attack, Feedly has refused to comply.

CEO of Feedly, Edwin Khodabakchian, said in a short statement: “Criminals are attacking feedly with a distributed denial of service attack (DDoS). The attacker is trying to extort us money to make it stop. We refused to give in and are working with our network providers to mitigate the attack as best as we can.”

Internet piracy. Huh.

Never heard of Feedly. I'll check them out, once everything settles down over there.

It's the most efficient way to get news off the internet. You select your news providers and the Feedly service gathers headlines and summary stories along with clickable links and sends them to your device on a constant basis.

I've tried Flipboard and Pulse but ditched them in favor of Feedly. I also use Google Newsstand along with Feedly.
