    The sword of God is the Spirit. America does not fight religious battles for the Lord. America fights battles to defend its own interests.

    wonderful rebuttal.

    If US was keen in promoting its ‘Christian’ ideal they would never have gone to bed with Saudis. It’s oil that has brokered the 70 year old diplomatic relationship between these two.

    America never promotes its values abroad but rather its interests

    Think in the case of Isis and especially that Iranian general, the US was indeed used by God to execute His judgement, as a type of "sword of the Lord"

    Yes, but just as Israel at times in the OT used by God to execute His judgement, we are used against Isis and Islamic terrorism!

    I'm quoting from the KJV. I can see that "the Word" could be used in other versions of the Bible.
