"The program was also opposed by the state-run Palestinian Broadcasting Corp., which is controlled by Fatah, Hamas' rival."

    Good for Fatah.

Islamofascist's training of children to hate and kill continues.

    Nothing new here.

    They're just getting more creative.

Israel has its share of nuts as well. Here's a sweet picture of Israeli children writing messages on artillery shells intended for Lebanon.

    http://blogs.dasmirnov.net/media/isrkids.jpg

Both sides are sick to do such things.

Oh, yes, thanks Rufus - have seen it before. It originally came off of a pro-Hezbollah web site and was probably staged, knowing Hezbollah. But at any rate, you won't find Israeli TV children programming encouraging children to wear suicide belts.

Edited to say - that picture was posted on the net during the Hezbollah/Lebanon war against Israel and I remember how it was all over the place that the pictures from casualties of Qana ended up being proven to be staged.

What bias do you suppose Breitbart represents? Do you think Andrew Breitbart, buddy of Drudge, buddy of Roger L Simon, you suppose he's an unbiased observer and Breitbart.com represents fair and balanced reporting? How about Itamar Marcus does he have any vested interest in making the Palestinians looks as bad as he possibly can?

What are you saying exactly? Was there a war in Lebanon and shelling in Qana or was that fiction? Were their casualties in that war? Or just any pictures of casualties that have made it to the web are all staged? If all these pictures were proven staged could you post the proof please?

Well, how about Drudge & Breitbart are in cahoots with CBS, too?

Do you have a non-leftist, non-Hezbollah link for proof of your photo of Israeli children writing on bombs? That's why we got on this rabbit trail of Qana to begin with.

BTW, did you see my CBS link about the Hamas Mouse?

Is www.lebanonunderattack.com a Hezbollah site? Can you prove this with a non-neoconservative source? It may be and I'm interested to know if it is.

CBS is equally biased. Look, I am not saying it didn't happen, I'm saying your side blows it out of proportion and declares "those people over there are nuts". I for one hope the same judgment is not applied towards me as I don't endorse or watch television but if an outsider observed what is on our TV today and thought it was indicative of the American people, I'm sure they would have no choice but to conclude we're all nuts.

When I demonstrate that the Israeli's have the same nutty spirit, then you say that isn't real and it's been proven that it isn't and you point me to neoconservative sites to prove what they have a highly vested interest in proving and a track record of not telling the truth. Both sides propagandize but the pro-Israel propaganda is far more prevalent than the other in America, the truth is somewhere in between. Keep in mind that there are far more Christians in Lebanon than there are in Israel. As Christians, it seems like we should have a special affinity for our Christian brethren and be concerned when non-Christians bomb the homes of, kill and displace our brethren.

Come on Rufus, get with the program. Israelis = good. Non-Israelis(especially Arabs and U.S. citizens who don't march in lockstep with the Israel First crowd) = evil.

I hope you now understand the situation. :)

Even though you are being facetious, there is more truth than you'll admit.

Israeli's do not indoctrinate their children to hate anyone. They aren't programed to be suicide bombers, and they have respect for the lives of people, even their enemies. Why this attack on Israel? Why do you compare them with the Palestinian people, in treachery?

Because the DOR's need isreal to be bad so they can continue to call for unecessary changes as do most liberals.

For those pathologically inclined to hate Israel no matter what, it is a confirmation of all the worst fantasies they have about Jewish society. Most of the Web sites expounding this view have interpreted the photos as Israeli children sending a message to Lebanese children, and have even placed them next to shots of dead Lebanese children, sometimes with a caption such as, "Dear Lebanese/Palestinian/Arab/Muslim/Christians -- Kids, Die with love. Yours, Israeli Kids."

But reality is always more complicated (and infinitely more interesting) than propaganda, and it's worth understanding the provenance of these photos, at least as an example of how much we miss when we react emotionally to pictures that are intended to get us riled up. Luckily, Israeli blogger Lisa Goldman has done this work on her blog, On the Face. She tracked down Scheiner, the AP photographer who snapped the shots, but he wouldn't talk on the record. So she got an account instead from a reporter for Yediot Aharanot, an Israeli daily, who was at the scene.

"Goldman says that the children were from Kiryat Shmona, which is right on the border with Lebanon and had been hit by Hizbullah rockets. The AP photographer who took the photograph does not want to speak publicly about it, but Goldman is given an account by a reporter who was there.

The reporter insists that nobody who was there spoke with hatred about the Lebanese.

Goldman is told the children had been scared by the rockets and had been cooped up in underground shelters for five days and were probably a bit giddy at being outside and at the interest from photographers. An Israeli unit was in the town and some 12 photographers were taking pictures, Goldman was told.

According to the account, some of the parents wrote messages to Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah and then they handed the markers to the children who started drawing Israeli flags on the shells. The photographers, looking for a powerful image, had found one.

Some bloggers have wondered if the media was culpable for perhaps coaxing the children into writing on the missiles, though Goldman's related account suggests it was the parents who invited the children to write messages.

Goldman adds, however, that the children would not have seen images of dead Lebanese as these kinds of images are not broadcast in Israel, suggesting the children were probably acting with some ignorance about the devastation the missiles were causing. They had seen Mr Nasrallah on television threatening Israel, Goldman says. "

Yes, I am quite aware, hillclimber1, that you consider me to be evil.
