Is the weather there warm enough for the clothes to dry in the sun like in a day?

Over here, most families don't have dryers coz our sun is so strong, the clothes dry in a couple of hours.

It's just a bit of a hassle hanging up and taking in clothes.

What about missioning to the Poor in the USA ...... we go to all these countries and its right on america's doorstep. Is everybody BLIND ... it came out alot when Hurricane Katrina hit and yet it never gets a mention since...... People died on national television churchs tried to help but the needs were so great the US gov could not react in time. But in Asia they got Help and Aid Far quicker. Funny Old World we live in ...

Well, I am probably going to step in it here but...

Although it may include providing for the needs of the poor and hungry, that is not what missions is all about. Missions is primarily about meeting the spiritual needs of people.

May we never be amost those who say, as James quotes, "...Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body...", however we must keep the main thing the main thing.

Agreed, Mexdeaf. I always shudder a little when I hear charity efforts called "missions." It is only obeying the Great Commission if it is getting the Gospel out. Charity efforts are laudable, but IMO they become the Social Gospel (an end in themselves) when they are considered missions even when they don't include evangelism.
