Holiday Words Now Being Banned, Too “OFFENSIVE” To Say In Public

Political correctness is a commonly used term by the Left. On one hand, it is often not taken seriously because it quickly becomes ridiculous. On the other hand, an increasing number of people are demanding that everyone conform to a politically correct society.

Not many know that the term hails from the early 1900’s and the idea goes back even further. In 1923 in Germany, a think-tank is established. Their job was to translate Marxism from economic into cultural terms. By the end of the 1930’s they had essentially created the term we know today.

It was then termed Critical Theory but the basis is the same; it called for the most destructive criticism possible, in every possible way, designed to bring the current order down. They needed people to fall in line and return to a Marxist society but they couldn’t say that outright. Instead they sought out someone to take the blame. They found Christianity and Western Civilization. Proponents of the movement asked, “Who will save us from Western Civilization?” The answer is that “workers will never see their true class interests, as defined by Marxism, until they are freed from Western culture and particularly from the Christian religion – they are blinded by culture and religion to their true class interests.”

It is not difficult to see the link. Many of the “oppressed” groups today claim that the whole of society is just out to get women or gays or Muslims or immigrants, etc. That kind of criticism descends from Critical Theory.

While the history and evolution of the term could go on for pages, the conclusion brings us to recent history. We now live in a society where people are so scared of offending someone else; we have stopped honoring our religious and cultural traditions.

Companies, desperate to hold on to business, avoid saying things such as “Merry Christmas.” It is no longer acceptable to have pictures of Santa Clause or Christmas trees in public. In order to gain conformity and inclusion, we are being forced to wipe out cultural identity and religion.

Political correct fanatics would have you believe that their goal is to include everyone. The impossibility of this is lost on them. Their attempts end in the majorities being the ones who are discriminated against.
