House GOP poised to let jobless aid ‘come to an end’

Such concern the GOP has for people.

With the Senate easily approving a bipartisan compromise on extended unemployment benefits on Monday, the focus now shifts to House Republicans, who’ve struggled at times to come up with a compelling rationale to cut off millions of struggling, jobless Americans.

To date, arguably the worst argument was floated two weeks ago by Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.), who said, “The extended unemployment benefits by the administration were to be in place until unemployment came down. Unemployment is down.”

In other words, though it’s been generations since Congress allowed jobless aid to lapse with an unemployment rate this high, Price is satisfied that the economy is now fine – so unemployment benefits no longer matter.

And it still hasn't dawned on our economically illiterate president that it is his fault the unemployment rate is still so high.

He's still blaming everyone but himself.

The economy. in general, and the unemployment rate, in particular, will not improve until this dunderhead is out of office.

Yes, they do. The extended benefits have become a reason not to work in a stagnant economy. It is easier not to work -- or more likely, work "off the books" while also collecting unemployment. Your "president" keeps saying the economy is recovering. It isn't. Two percent annual growth doesn't make for a robust economy, it is basically a flat-line.

Job creation as reported by the Labor Department is a joke, because they don't tell you over three-fourths of the jobs being created pay less than $14 an hour, which is barely tolerable if you're single, poverty-level if you're not. Better to adjust to the job market as it is, given that the so-called "healthcare reform" is creating employer need to reduce costs, turning one full-time job into two part-time jobs so they don't have to pay for insurance. You can't blame them. It is made necessary by the incredibly intrusive and unaffordable healthcare law.

Such dishonesty. Why you say so many cowardly, untrue things ? Does the love of God exist in you at all ?

It does not appear so.

TNID, thank you for bringing up the ACA's effects on businesses, definitely in line and on-topic with regards to the O/P.

Also, the O/P only uses other pages from it's own blog to back up their claims. There is not a single provable fact in C.T.Boy's linked opinion piece.
