House Republicans vote to subpoena White House for Solyndra documents

    The problem with your approach is that later on when the investigation either goes no where or the conclusion is not good for Obama all the White House will need to say is "They didn't subpeona us for any records so it not our fault that they got it wrong. They should have asked us. We would have been more than happy to provide them with the information."

    So how do they have an investigation as to how the Obama administration decided to make the loan guarantee without even trying to get the information from the White House?

    He already released about 18000 documents without a subpoena just because they asked. If he was going to release what they were asking for he would have. It was a waste of time and money and they knew it.

    The subpeona is the proscribed legal recourse to obtain the documents required for the investigation.

    It is the job of the investigators to follow this course of action if the documents were not released voluntarily.

    A waste of time would be to start the investigation and then not bother to file a little paperwork to try to get the information.
