    I keep a couple of nativity scenes up all year.

    I made myself get the Christmas tree out. I put everything else back in the closet.

    We don't and have not decorated, don't give gifts either with in the family. My wife's family had played into the Christmas secular holiday along with the Christian day of Christ birth, but my family didn't so I didn't and now we don't. It is to us Christ's birthday (even though we aren't sure about the date) and we do honor that but not the secular holiday. You know an old family tradition.

    Not. Nothing against it, just not into it.

    Funny mc, we were posting to one another just a second ago in different threads

    Thanks, my wife was impressed when she came home and saw it. A feat for me

    Doesn't compare to Sue's house last year though!

    Downtown has a hard time competing with Sue's house last year Joe.

    I'll try to take a picture of my tree later.

    --I always decorate for Christmas. Usually I either don't do enough or I go too far, this year I think I have a good balance. I have a few glass santas I have put on a table in a corner, very nice actually. I have a small tree on a table, and a big wooden nativity on the top shelf of my desk. The tree in the front yard has lights on it, and it is shaped like a Christmas tree. It is actually a green bush with thorny leaves. I have to keep it "in shape" during the summer, and believe me that job requires gloves.

    As part of my December "ritual" I will read John MacArthur's "God's Gift of Christmas", watch the "Nativity Story" movie, "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation", and "A Christmas Story" (the red rider bb gun). My rituals have changed over the years, but that is the line up this year.

    O yea, I don't decorate Christmas trees anymore. Last time I did everyone laughed at me. They said it looked like an apple tree. I got tired of the laughter so I bought a small pre-decorated tree (about 6inches high).

    I think I am weird or something. :laugh:

    Here's a home down the street. Both my son & daughter have helped out over the years --- www.clotxmas.com.

    Here are some interesting facts --
    * over 700,000 lights
    * over 60,000 candy canes given to children who visit
    * over 100 custom made animated displays
    * consumes additional $4,000 in electrical costs

    More importantly, there are donation boxes and over $450,000 has been raised for Women's Cancer Association of the University of Miami.
