How Obama Got Elected

Most voters are lazy- they don't take time to get informed on people or issues and instead rely upon the pablum the media spoons out. That goes for those of both parties- most independent and third-party voters are better-informed, otherwise they would follow the rest of the sheep.

 

Is this a polite way of saying that people who voted for Obama were stupid?:laugh:

 

Does anyone really think that McCain/Palin voters would have done any better?

We can blame the MSM all we want - the fault is with lazy, uninformed, apathetic voters.

 

Although former Senator Barak Obama has not yet actually been 'elected' (that will occur on Dec. 15, when the Electors meet and actually vote), he will then have been elected by receiving >270 electoral votes.

It's fairly simple, really!! 270 is the 'magic number' which he, in all likelihood, will receive, barring some totally unforeseen and/or unforeseeable situation.

What exactly is "the MSM"? I hit the link, but got a site, not a video.

And, FTR, I don't put a lot of stock in "You-Tube" so did not view that.

Incidentally, I would say that I have never, ever seen an election where, overall, "the Media was more 'heavily invested' " in a specific desired outcome to an election, than in this one.

lets see, acorn registering dead voters, and black panthers threatening voters, people voting for him knowing nothing about him or where he stands(we saw video of this) voting only because he was black yep, I can see how he got elected.

 

Actually, it's a commentary on the sad state of public education in the U.S. I'm certain you could easily find a dozen McCain voters who were as ill-informed as these people were.

 

No, Obama was elected because 53% of the American people chose a majority of electors pledged to him. The main reason he was elected was the inept leadership of your liberal hero, George Bush.

They were noticably in the tank for Kerry as well, but I agree this was worse.

They abandoned any pretense of objective news reporting and chose sides, abrogating their responsibility to the public.

I beg to differ. Obama tied McCain to Bush and the media played along big-time. Just go and check out how many positive articles or news reports there were for McCain/Palin versus those for Obama/Biden. Or on the flip side- negative reports, especially re the VP candidates. Biden made at least as many gaffes as Palin supposedly did, but his were not front-page news.

Oh, yeah, the media got their man elected all right.

 

Somehow I don't think our Founding Fathers would agree with your definition.

 

Which is why I am glad America is a Republic!

 

BTW, do you realize that "Democracy" means the same thing as "Laodicea"

Demo = People
Cracy = Rule

Laos = People (we get the word Laity from this)
Dicea = Rule...

Thats quite a judgement, however I doubt it is based on solid research.

And on election day, I got into an a debate on facebook with some college kids that were supporting Obama.. and they were idiots!... My 12 yr old had more knowledge of world affairs than they did...

 

The idea that people with a certain amount of education should be the only ones to vote is a scary thing and imposing such would be the slipperiest of slopes.
