Featured How should Christians judge America?

    Great new Video at PragerU really got me thinking.

    Goodbye, America

    From the Christian perspective how should we judge nations? How should we judge people for that matter? Do we define entities by the sins of their youth?

    This is essentially what the left does. While the Kavanaugh sins have been completely debunked, his entire life was going to be judged by the sins of his youth. Never mind the great life, even they admit, he lived afterward, his past completely defines him as a sexual predator. Of course, there was no actual evidence of that either, but even the remote possibility of youthful sins was disqualifying.

    Same is true regarding America. "America was built on genocide and slavery, and, therefore, is and always will be wicked." Never mind that we fought a bloody civil war over slavery. Never mind its world-leading strides in civil rights. And never mind the founding principles that made those triumphs possible! "We are evil!" That's the message the leftist teaches our kids in schools and universities (at the great expense of their parents).

    And I see this creeping into Christian thought as well. Even Christians are starting to feel very uncomfortable about American patriotism. "Can I possibly think approvingly of a nation with a sinful past?"

    But is this really a biblical perspective? Should Christians look to past sins, or present progress? Do we focus on historical sins, or modern triumphs?

    Of course the latter is true. Any true Christian is keenly aware of their own past wretchedness. But I see the false religion of leftism creeping into the Church and confusing many in this regard.

    The judging of America because of its past is not really about current standing but about an excuse to change its founding principles. They want God gone from public view

    The Democrats are cold-blooded money lovers and they want to destroy everything but the wealth, which they want for themselves. They are essentially Stalinists. What have the Democrats ever done for America except start a civil war?

    Don’t forget the power. That is paramount. They could have all the money in the world, & they would still crave the power. They would still not tolerate anyone to do or think other than their way. Power over the people, not by the people. That is their way.

    Fantastic video, and I do believe it's these 3 amazing values that have empowered our society to triumph over its sins and over the leftism that has engulfed Europe.

    Truly an amazing presentation. I've been passing this video along to my kids and other teens and young adults. They'll never hear this stuff in public schools.

    America isn't the problem. You might ask what is then? The politicians are the problem.. I could not vote this last election because I could not choose the lesser of two evils.I do not like either ticket. Both are as evil as the other can be. You can bet on it. Donald Trump use to be a democrat. Do you really think this man is any different than any other democrat. I don't

    If these truths are self-evident, why haven't they been reveled before?

    Who did the authors consider "their Creator"?

    Do you believe all men are created equal? There are a number of offspring in the Bible that were begotten. Are they all equal as well?

    Where in scripture is it said that God endowed all of mankind with life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness or ownership of property, or anything else?

    Since three certain unalienable rights are listed, what are the other unalienable rights among them?

    Were any of the authors born-again believers?

    Were all of the authors professing Christians?

    Just wondering.

    How should Christians judge America? Americans endorse freedom of religion, the Bible does not. Start there. Commandment #1. You shall have no other Gods before Me.

    IOWs, you judge by one's past instead of their current positions. Trump has become the most pro-life president in history. Yet you judge him by his past as a democrat.

    I think that's the point I made in the OP. Christians need to be wary of this attitude.

    1Cor. 6:9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were.​

    Imagine if God judged us the way you judge others. Just a thought.

    I will always commend anyone that changes from pro-abortion to pro-life. I idea that we Christians are going to scold pro-lifers for not being pro-life long enough is contrary Christianity, and quite unproductive.

    And if you sat out the last election, I think it's fair to say, Trump has done much more for the unborn than you have.

    I'm not sure where you're getting this. Are you saying the Bible commands Christians to take over counties and force them by the sword to become Christian? That's sounds like Islam to me.

    Paul laid out the right attitude for the Christian and the governing authority he found himself under. Obey laws and give your country taxes customers fear and honor. There is no order to take over countries and force Christianity on them. Be good citizens and by extension a good witnesses.

    If a country is willing to give you freedom to speak your mind, thank God for it, and use the opportunity to persuade men. Trashing the theology of a country's founders is kind of meaningless. Yes, some were Christians some weren't, but it's kind of irrelevant. Christianity flourished in America even as it died in Europe, and early values of America paved the way for this. I see it as a blessing from God, whom all governments come from (Romans 13).

    Yet Abortions centers still exist Hail the president!. We are being watched by our government. Real ID is mandatory in 2020 The government is scrutinizing it's own citizens. The mark is just around the corner. With out real ID you will not fly anywhere. You will not be able to enter a government building. Real ID means ultimate surveillance. they will do a complete back ground check on you know all your habits what kind of life you live and whether or not you're a Christian. Every citizen will be considered a possible terrorist. Just like Germany during world war 2. everyone becomes suspect. This is not freedom and it's happening under Trump the biggest data junkie in history..

    What the frick are you talking about?! It is not even mandatory that anyone has a real id. It doesn’t affect anything except airports, but it’s another excuse for you to attack Trump to justify your lameness to stand up. Just stop digging your hole. Go and read the second link I posted, if you have the time. You certainly seem to have the time..........

    "I'm not going to join the war until you've already won!"

    I'm sure there were many like this during the abolitionist struggle. They sat on the sidelines doing nothing, mocking those fighting, claiming they were fighting an unwindable war. There are always people like this.

    And what do you bet if Trump gets a couple more appointments to the SC, they'll suddenly act like they were in the fight the whole time?

    Regardless, if this war on the abortion holocaust is lost, judgement to America will come. I don't see how we avoid it. And I believe it will first come to the Church, who had the numbers and the ability to make a difference, but chose to sit out, or even support the democrats.

    Your use of by words shows who you are. While I'm at it I'm just using my right to voice my opinion but you'd like to silence me because you know what I'm saying is true. The really funny thing about this it doesn't make any difference if we have a republican or democrat for president. The country has already started it's slip in to communist rule. Never can I remember Americans hating each other for their politics when both sides are corrupt . Our president is a reflection of our voters intelligence.

    No one is trying to silence you. It's just ironic, that, while you turn your back on the unborn, you then make yourself out to be the victim.

    And if you don't see the difference between democrat appointed judges and republican appointed judges, there's very little hope for you. You don't even have a basic grasp of government or politics.

    I have always been about freedom and this is what I endorse and is why I disagree with you here. They are taking all our freedoms away from us because of gullible people like you who know nothing about freedom. or even what it really means when we loose it. All your concern is about is your safety. Unwilling to fight the real fight for freedom.

    You need to go back to the third grade and learn how to spell.Trump can wipe out abortion with a stroke of the pen. It's called a executive order. If he is so against it why hasn't he done it? He knows if he does this it will be sure to get him out of office.
    You chose evil to be president by voting and you judge me for not being able to endorse evil. I voted in the primaries but the people like you are so desirous to have evil as a president, and could not bare to have a decent man as president instead. It's all about money what ever is going to put money in your pocket.
