    Interesting take. The motive was not, necessarily, to affect the election, but to further divide the country so that the Russian people will no longer consider the US an example of democracy at work. Putin did it to shore up his own regime. The conspiracy theorists are not going to like that! :)

    Division was their goal, not necessarily a Trump presidency.

    All you have to do is look at the RT headlines over the past few years. One day they'll promote right wing ideals (hey 'Mericans, fight for your gun rights), then the next day they are promoting a left wing ideal (they're gonna throw grandma off the cliff!!!).

    They don't care one way or another, as long as we're divided.
