Pondering upon the sovereignty of the Lord Jesus Christ, my mind considered many aspects of His earthly ministry.

Among the other thoughts are His choice of when, where, and the circumstances of His death.

"...in as much as it is appointed for man to die ..." if you had the power to choose when, where, and the circumstances of your death, what would you describe?

Note: I realize that the verse is somewhat out of context. Ignore that and attend to the larger issue presented.
