The bridge is relatively close to where I live.
On that day, my wife was about 2 hours away from traveling on the overpass as she was heading home from visiting my daughter in Virginia.

OBVIOUSLY THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REPAIR!
Keeping them out of it probably saved many millions of dollars.
If it was up to them they would still be arguing about who should do it.

Although the repair is considered temporary, I'd guess that they will not reconstruct the original underpass.
