Illegal border crossings... how true is this?

A little hyperbole on two of the items I think. A few years back the sister of Lisa Ling was doing a story on North Korea and she wandered into NK and was not shot dead. Last year Haitians were crossing into Canada from the U.S and they were taken in by Canada and given assistance. As for crossing into Iran, you are probably going to get you some prison time and coming into the U.S. you will be likely to get all the freebees on that list.
