Hoosier Tyson Timbs of Marion, Indiana, in Grant County, Indiana, received $40,000 in insurance money when his father passed away. He bought a Land Rover (I know, what a waste). Meanwhile, he was arrested for dealing heroin, to which he was addicted. He was convicted and put on house arrest as an admitted addict under a law whereby the maximum fine was $10,000. However, the State of Indiana confiscated his car. The case went to the US Supreme Court which ruled 9-0 that excessive fines could not be levied by any state.

However, the State of Indiana is refusing to obey the US Supreme Court and return the automobile.

Don't ask me what is wrong downtown Indianapolis. I just don't know. The federal case is Timbs v. Indiana and it is sort of a landmark case.

Politics while the tribulation rages, I thought only an antichrist had to worry about politics during the trib?

The State of Indiana should have to refund the price of the car plus interest. Then they will have thousands of other cases to refund. Let's hope that Timbs doesn't go buy another Land Rover--that would mean that he is a second kind of junkie: one who buys cars that are junk.
