You know. That just made me think of a great BB fellowship opportunity. Let's meet in a central location and go to a crockery range...it would be a hoot. I hear ammo is getting quite expensive though. ;)

Well I've known a few criminals in my time, and desparate or not, they tend to weigh the outcome before they commit the crime. They obviously aren't thinking right, but they are thinking.

Typically, they are cognizant enough to recognize that lead poisoning is bad for their body.

If they have a gun and are sure you don't, then 'all lights are green for go'.

My challenge to folks is this......

I'm quite proud of the N.R.A. sticker on my front door. I wonder if folks would be proud to display a "gun free household" sticker on theirs........

Lol...that's an excellent challenge. They could place that next to their "lock free household" sticker, "valuable jewelry in the master bedroom" sticker and their "beautiful daughters upstairs" stickers.

Now this is putting your "money" where your mouth is!!!!!!

Would love to know how many are willing to do so from either camp?? (Edcumcated guess---NRA types-100% Gun Control types - 0.0-0.1%)

'Course, the GC types just might use the NRA stickers if forced to use a sticker, but that don't count!

Guns make my house a lot safer. I am a police officer and I would not go to sleep knowing I could not protect my family if someone broke in my house. People that want gun control do not have a clue about real life. We should let everyone carry guns. I treat everyone as if they are carrying on every stop.

I have prevented three robberies without having to fire a shot, and held two of them (wanted criminals) until the cops got there. That was before I moved here. Here, everyone is assumed to be armed at all times. Not much crime, except those involving alcohol and bars.

    Gun Rights

I always wanted to have a gun-give away in a town where they were having a gun buy back.
I thought we could buy a couple thousand toy guns and walk up and down the streets giving these away to children.
Sponsored by our Church of course!

We can do that since it would be considered a political, anti-public policy issue.

Toy guns are dangerous. Never let any of my kids have one. Any gun in my house is real and probably loaded. Never had a problem with guns.

When my children were little, we taught them to treat every gun as if it were real and loaded. If they wanted to play a game of war or cops & robbers or whatever, it had to be declared, with the toys inspected beforehand, etc. If you ever walked up with one and simply said "bang!" you were in trouble.

Toy guns are not necessarily dangerous if treated properly. They can be used to instill the proper attitudes.

Australia went too far in their Gun-Control hysteria. To the point of outlawing classic sporting guns that are very rarely used in crimes. for Example; Winchester Model 12 pump shotguns - one of the favorite upland bird hunter's guns was banned as were all semi-automatic shotguns such as Remington 1100's and Browning A-5's.

That was nothing more than punishing law abiding citizens. :BangHead:

Gun Control laws punish the law abiding citizens and give a measure of protection to lawbreakers by insuring that the general public is basically more unarmed than they were before. Lawbreakers aren't going to pay any attention to gun control laws any way so they relish more Gun Control laws - it makes their crime easier.
