    "DOW INDUSTRIALS UP BY TRIPLE DIGITS; S&P 500 RISES 1.9% TO PACE OPENING RALLY"

    Why?

    Because of the perception that the banks (financial institutions) are showing positive signs, the market soars. This gives evidence that confidence is the markets and that the financial institutions need to be shored up first.
