Hmmm. I've been wondering how long it would take before we get to say "See? we told you they have them, because they're trying to use it on us". I thought it would take longer.

Perhaps Blix will listen more intently to our findings.

On a more sober side, a leading Muslim cleric in Egypt has just called on all billion Muslims worldwide to fight against America if we attack Iraq.

    Comforting thought...

Thankfully, many Muslims worldwide are anti-Saddam. I'm not overly worried. Worried, yes, but not overly.

Regardless, I think that military action is the only alternative left.

I would love to see some verification of this - I can't find any other news channels carrying this story, which seems very odd given that it would be very big news indeed - does anyone know of any?

Fox News is probably the only more conservative station that broadcasts on tv. You won't find it on tv, but most likely it will be on radio, in this country.

Here is another link InHim. It comes from the Chicago Suntimes, USA. How many links would you like?

Chem weapons in Iraq pose big risk in invasion
    BY JOHN J. LUMPKIN

WASHINGTON--Iraqi forces guarding Baghdad are armed with chemical weapons and may have orders to use them, U.S. officials say, raising the grim prospect of American troops closing in on the capital city and facing a battlefield filled with deadly agents.

Because these Iraqi units are protecting the approaches to Iraq's largest city, the possibility of chemical weapons being used near populated areas also raises the possibility of unprotected civilians being exposed to such weapons, officials say.

    The rest of the story...

    CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN IRAQ

I was watching tv while doing the treadmill thing at the gym last night. I don't remember what channel it was, but they brought up chemical weapons and Iraqi troops.

Also brought up was the cleric who called upon Muslims to fight against America. The woman on the treadmill next to me (a Christian) said, "if I had a dollar for every time a Muslim cleric declared war on the US, I'd be a rich woman!"

And where would you think the Muslims living in the US would stand on this?

I can only speak for my area, where there is a fair populatin of middle east transplants (including Iraq). They are noticeably anti-Saddam. Many of the Iraqi folks here wish the US would have finished business with Saddam in Gulf War I.

I agree John. I've seen the same attitude where I live.

They are people like us in that they do not all agree. Some are for, some are against. But all that I have met here, are against. In fact that is why they are here.
