How can you say that?
I just type out the words on my keyboard.

you make it quite clear that you don't think he is beholden to anyone
I did not say that. Your wife said that. I said he is not beholden to the (entrenched) GOP ("leadership").

now you are saying that it would be better if he were beholden to big banks and insurance companies.
I assumed you were capable of understanding sarcasm. My mistake.

sar·casm
ˈsärˌkazəm
noun
the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.

You are saying two different things.
See response above.
Which view do you hold to really?
That Trump is not beholden to the GOP establishment. Just as I initially said.

Really a vast difference?
Yes, really.

How is there a vast difference?
Because different words mean different things.

If they are as different as dirt and cheese it should be easy for you to explain the difference.
It's not difficult.

Please explain to me how there is a vast difference between the two.
Well, the easiest way would be to look the two words up in a good dictionary.

Here, I will help you:

accountable
adjective
1. subject to the requirement to report, explain, or justify something; responsible; answerable.

beholden
adjective
1. obligated; indebted.

If I can be of any additional assistance to you just let me know. Always glad to explain things.
