"For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon!' 19 "The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' Yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds."

We have 2 children 3 & under, so if one of us has the kids by ourselves...we take them to a buffet, they're both free, order water...WALLLA!!! Feeds 3 people for 7-8 bucks!

(now if I can just keep my son from turning 4...)

It is only sin if you do not clean your plate.

Depends on your definition of nasty I suppose. I actually know people from China and its all rice noodles, fresh rice, and stir fried vegetables. They are skinny and healthy. The Asians I went to college with were the same deal. Of course one visual about butchering a cat and all that flies out the window, people will cling to their deep fried cream cheese.

Same deal with Thai food. We eat sushi all the time, it is about the most healthy meal from a restaurant you can get around here, and we make it ourselves as well. So which is nastier, raw tuna and fish eggs wrapped in seaweed and rice cooked with vinegar to mimic the taste of fermentation... or deep fried battered bacon? Depends on your definition.

I was really asking according to your definition thereof, since you're the one who brought up the word.

Nasty meaning poor quality food, cheapest beef you can find, fried everything, trans fats, copius amounts of sugar/salt/MSG/whoknowswhat, unreal calorie counts, sushi that has been sitting out for hours which is gross for multiple reasons, bacon wrapped around random stuff then baked in a heat lamp for extended periods of time and turned into a chewy bacon-like substance, extremely rich sauces, stuff that leaves you feeling worse than when you walked in if you eat even halfway healthily otherwise. It's nasty. Anyone who frequents these places obviously has very low self esteem.

Thank God for Grace, all I am sayin'...

Although, I tend to think that if you're a Baptist and it involves fried chicken; there's some sort of exception.:tonofbricks::tongue3:

Did anyone really expect gluttony would be a serious discussion topic for Baptists?

Eating at a buffet isn't sin, but what I might do to those who "plug up" the line, could.....
