Is Liberal Media Bias a Greater Threat Than Terrorism or Recession?

“The greatest threat to America is not necessarily a recession, or another terrorist attack. The greatest threat to America is a liberal media bias.”

So said Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) last week as he announced the creation of a new Media Fairness Caucus, telling NewsMax, “If the American people can’t get good information, can’t get the facts, and can’t make good decisions, then we simply don’t have a viable democracy.”


More to the point, would a junior senator from Illinois have beaten Hillary Clinton if the news media prior to the first primaries and caucuses had fully exposed his:

• Connections to domestic terrorists William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn
• Connections to the Trinity Church and Reverend Jeremiah Wright
• Connections to corrupt real estate developer Tony Rezko
• Totally unimpressive tenure as an Illinois state senator and U.S. senator?

If the answer is “No,” the press elected Barack Obama — NOT the American people, which is indeed a far greater undermining of our democracy than any attack that has ever been made against this country as well as any economic calamity that’s befallen it.

I think it probably is, not to down play terrorism or the recession.

Media bias has hindered the war against terrorism by publishing classified information. There was apparently little coverage of the murder of the soldier in Arkansas by an Islamic terrorist. The war on terrorism has become an "overseas contingency operation" courtesy of the little "bho".

it is certain that the media is responsible for the election of the little "bho" or the big 0 [zero], depending on your choice .The leftist media has glorified the little "bho" raising him to the status of god. Of course Fascism/socialism/communism is the god of many in the leftist media.

As for the recession the leftist media will never publish anything harmful to their little hand carved god if they can avoid it.

The media has hyped terrorism to the hilt while not so much as mentioning the 100 years of our foreign interventions that has helped to create, inflame and maintain that terrorism. Face it fellas the corporate media moguls hire plenty of liberal talking heads but it's owned and operated by imperial war profiteers lock stock and both barrels.
