And that is as empty and impotent a claim as your last one.

Accusations without evidence amount to nothing more than bearing FALSE witness.
Good luck with that when you're being judged . . .

    Regarding what?

The fact that anti-Catholic Samuel Gipp was an adherent of the Scofield Reference Bible??
    OR,
the fact that Darby disciple, C.I. Scofield had ZERO theological training when he wrote his bogus work?

    1) I asked a very simple and easy to answer question. in post #58

    2) what you posted has nothing to do with my question.

    3) Are you going to answer my question -?

As for Schofield's lack of theological training, he was a lawyer before getting saved and pastoring. So, he had at least a modicum of academic training. As for "his" Bible, have you read the list of co-editors?

I don't even know WHAT your question is.
That's why I asked you about it in my last post.

If you are simply asking if I have a degree in Theology - the answer is "No".
However - I was calling into question the "experts" that were being cited - when tthese "experts" relied on spurious source materials and had an ax to grind against the Catholic Church..

    from post 62
    "Okay, Marys son -
Please inform us of your education."

since you could not understand that simple question - I will ask specific questions

    Did you graduate High school?
    Did you complete college -
    how many years -
    what degree and what major.
    any other formal training

and did you read (and understand) post # 67?

The proposition by the OP regarding whether the KJV should be the only version Christians read is simply ludicrous. Is there a Mandarin KJV? How about a Spanish, French, Arabic or Vietnamese KJV?

As bad as I disagree with SDA indoctrination to hate Catholics at least they didn’t turn out to be Christian equivalent of self righteous bigoted supremists who worship a evil twisted version of God.—good thing those don’t exist.

    SEPTUAGINT IN CHRIST’S TIME
    By Ellen G. White

We must not forget that the Holy Scriptures in the time of our Lord consisted of those books which we now find in the Old Testament, and that the version in common use at that time was this Greek translation. When, therefore, the writers of the New Testament wished to make use of a passage from their scriptures, it was only natural that they should take it from the Septuagint rather than from the Hebrew, as Biblical Hebrew was not understood by the common people. Furthermore, this Greek translation had a marked influence upon the language of Christian writers and teachers as they sought to show that the types, shadows, and prophecies of the olden time found their fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus of Nazareth. The high priest and the sacrifices of the ancient tabernacle were a prophecy of Him who “gave Himself for our sins,” and who “ever liveth to make intercession for” us, and the same words were used in the New Testament, although with a significance hitherto unknown. SITI December 10, 1929, page 10.2

I especially like the part about:
Furthermore, this Greek translation had a marked influence upon the language of Christian writers and teachers as they sought to show that the types, shadows, and prophecies of the olden time found their fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus of Nazareth.

Clearly Ellen G White is full of baloney, Right?

Should one read a translation based upon the KJv in their own language, or upon the Hebrew and Greek texts themselves?

And this is simply another asinine and impotent remark.
Do you even understand what "Apostasy" is??

Unless you have examples - you are simply blowing hot air . . .

    Hmmmmm, let’s see . . .

Is it the fact that, like Scofield – these guys were anti-Catholic Dispensationalists that gives them the “pedigree” to edit a reference Bible?

Does it have anything to do with the fact that at least TWO of them - Scofield and D.L. Moody (Moody Bible Institute) were FALSE prophets who BOTH claimed that the so-called “Rapture” would occur in their lifetime?? Because that didn’t happen . . .
