Is this a bad thing? And is there anything in the bible to prohibit it?

I hear what TStuff is saying. We manipulate life all the time. Nano and robotic technology is being combined with living tissue to manipulate life to do our bidding. The Terminator and The Matrix movies point out a possible negative consequence of this action. But, I would say that we are a long long way, if ever, from creating life that has a true human conscious apart from cloning. Even in the Star Wars movies Cloning does nothing but manipulate a natural process of which I have great problems with. The ramifications are too scary to even consider allowing humans to be cloned. It might be along the same lines as building the Tower of Babel.

You all will go to any length to bad mouth people with whom you disagree.

The scientists assembled a million chemical chunks from scratch materials and produced a new living specie of critter. Your standard big argument against evolution is that only God can produce a new specie and now humans have done it.

>Ok what about when we get to the point of cloning humans. That would be awsome! And we could debate whether clones have souls or not.

It is no longer a big deal and anything that can be done will be done, probably has been done sub rosa.

People have wondered about the soul problem for a long time. In the bad old days, the second twin to be born was killed. This also solved the inheritance problem.
