When will we realize the intent of Islam is to dominate the world?

I realize it, as do a large number of people. It's just there are different motivations by the mainstream media and powers that be to not vocalize it. Even a large part of our country won't vocalize anything about it as it wouldn't be politically correct and would be "intolerant". Meanwhile, the CAIR and others sit back laughing at all the "progress" they have made.

Islam is not a "thing" capable of intent.

I disagree. Islam is a snake, that can & wants to kill, even after it's head's been cut off.

Which would you rather have defined? My usage of metonymy, analogy, allegory, or

    personification:

A figure of speech in which inanimate objects or abstractions are endowed with human qualities or are represented as possessing human form, as in Hunger sat shivering on the road or Flowers danced about the lawn. Also called prosopopeia [sic].*

By giving the religious intent of Islam (and this is actually a stated intent or purpose) I have used personification.

    * normally prosopopeia and personification are not 'synonymous'. Even dictionaries mislead occasionally.

I like literary devices, I simply disagree with your view of Islam, and more, of Moslems in general, being considered monolithic rather than individuals or groups of individuals. Sufis are not the same as Shi'ites.

I do think that extremism is dangerous in Islam and in other religions.

I agree with you concerning militant Islam or Islamofascism.

John 14:6. Yet our K thru 12, colleges, and universities teach our youth to embrace anything. The best we Christians can do is a letter to the editor, and then we make sure we don't attach our real name and address.

I agree with Ken, although I don't think Bill actually agrees with him. :wavey:

Sadly, your view of Christianity is very common amongst most Muslims.

The view of Jesus Christ is that we the Church are here to spread the Gospel of redemption. Yes, that Gospel does teach that every knee will bow down to the Creator & Redeemer. But, that is HIS intent and not ours.

No other religion has the number of martyrs for the faith (not terrorists that blow themselves up). Genuine martyrs that profess the Truth & are executed for the TRUTH are extremely common within Christianity. Adolf had 2 - 6 million executed, but we (we Christians even) forget them. Stalin had 10 to 20 million executed for their religion. And there are half a million to 2 million killed per year in Africa by Muslim factions.

No... we are compelled to spread the word, but also to "obey the law of the land". Islam is compelled to force conversion and "become the law of the land", even by "the sword".
