Jailed Pastor's Lawyers Release 'Fact Sheet' in Home Bible Study Case

None of these letters advising the Salmans that they were not permitted to host Bible studies in their home refers to concern over any objective factors such as number of guests or vehicles. Rather, the restriction is based solely on the religious purpose of the gatherings. This represents a clear violation of citizens' fundamental right to freely exercise their religion, which is protected by the First Amendment and considered to be Americans' "first freedom."

The enforcement of individual rights is a curious situation--it takes lawyers, judges, litigations and appeals--and deputies. Bring lots of money. The good guys do not necessarily win.

Historically, many Believers met in secret--for fear of their lives. Sects controlling a given political arena are a fact of life--been to Salt Lake City lately?

Preaching Jesus Christ and Him crucified has never been politically correct.

Take a deep breath, check your armor-- it is going to get worse.

Even so, come Lord Jesus.
