This is priceless. Delaware Senator Joe Biden, who, it appears, is running for president, appeared on C-Span's 'Road to the White House' program. This is where a camera follows around a potential candidate while he grips and grins with supporters at one event or another. They've done it for years and it gives you an idea of what the lengthy process of becoming president is like.

Drudge posted the video, and it shows the good Senator speaking to a supporter...evidently a man of Indian origin. Indian, as in...from India. Biden is shaking hands with the man, who tells him that there is more support to come from the Indian community. Then, the Senator actually said this:

"In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking."

There is no way a lib would ever say such a thing. This had to only come out of the mouth of a neocon. They are the only kkk, flag waving, racists in the country.

Comments like this would get a Republican hounded to the ends of the earth by the media.

    A democrat says it...silence.

    Two things...

    1. The gentleman Biden was talking with did not seem offended by his joke. So this seems to be a case of the media making an issue of something that would otherwise have not been an issue. This event occured on June 17, it is now July 7.

    2. It was a joke. People need to lighten up. A good joke, a funny joke? No, but a joke all the same. I really doubt Biden is racist against Indians.

I tire of the media in this country...:sleeping_2:

A Republican would never be able to get away with this type of racially insensitive, politically incorrect "joke".

By the time the media got through with it, you'd think the world was coming to an end.

I live in Newark, De, and I can tell you first hand: he's not kidding.

It is a huge problem here.

What's more, we're becoming very well known for the large illegal immigrant population in Claymont and Stanton

Because we don't speak Indian or Spanish and they won't assimilate.

I'll be perfectly honest with you and I know that some here will call me a racist and that's fine.

I will go out of my way to patronize businesses that are American owned.

If I know that something is owned by a foreigner or a Muslim, I won't shop there unless it's absolutely necessary.

You can ride down Kirkwood Highway and see signs in front of the business that say "American Owned and Operated".

These people who come here, they don't learn the language and they don't want to assimilate. If they were interested in being a part of our community, then I would welcome them as I'm sure others would.

But they don't, so I see no reason to give them my money.

    Let the flaming begin.

I won't flame you, because I do the same thing. In fact, someone I know was recently in a Wal-Mart in a "certain section of town" and the loudspeakers announcing sales were announcing them in Spanish. Disgusting.

If you were a Republican politician, you'd be harrassed by the media to the ends of the earth for your politically incorrect statements.

    Biden is a pompous windbag.

The real story is the lack of coverage by the press when they have castigated any Republican who comes close to making a statement similar to what Biden said.
