Speaking for myself...that is correct. BTW, I view Catholics as even more detestable than Arminians. However I wouldn't refer to either as cockroaches....that I will weave to others.

You were addressing me. What you wrote was not clear. I have no idea what you were communicating. I asked for clarification yet like a brat you say the above ...strange.

There are not five canons. There are four heads.

The first head has 18 articles. Then there are nine paragraphs with rejection of errors.

The second head has nine articles and seven paragraphs of rejection of errors.

The third and fourth heads are combined for the next section. There are 17 articles and 9 paragraphs of rejection of errors.

The fifth head is the final section with 15 articles and 9 paragraphs dealing with rejection of errors.

At last the conclusion is a mere two pages.

Do you mean their doctrines or their persons?

I have pointed out differences between the WCF and the LBC before. The latter is really a modification of the Savoy Declaration which was a refinement of the WCF.

Aside from church government and Baptistic issues there is a lot of common ground between the LBC and the WCF. There is no chasm as such. I have even had a thread devoted to the subject of the fact that Arminians would agree overwhelmingly with the vast percentage of the WCF.

BTW, the former was published in 1646.

When Westminster Seminary and you yourself use the term five canons, why the compulsion to nitpick when robt.k.fall uses it too?

You’re right – thanks for the correction. I was thinking the Westminster Catechism for some reason. I’m bad with dates – sign of growing old.

You’re supposed to cap your toothpaste???
