I am Pentecostal Holiness by denomination. My personal beliefs towards gifts is that they are all unique. Everybody's gift is different and those gifts are to edify the church service. A church service is also expected to proceed decently and in order. If someone has the gift of piano playing, for example,there would be an appropriate time to play the piano during service. And not everyone is a piano player just like everyone is not a preacher or an evangelist.

John MacArthur had the gift of preaching. Everything was well presented. Though I do not agree with everything he had to say at least his sermons were well prepared. I just recently enjoyed one he did on the Apostle Paul...

A few years ago one of my relatives would go to refugee camp in Greece to take care of the refugees coming from other countries. He had gone for nine years. During one of the times he met an Iranian at the facility and thought the man spoke English. So he spoke to him in English. They spoke for about 30 minutes and then realized he didn't speak English but they understood each other. I have asked some what they would call that. Some are uncomfortable and walk away. Some don't know what to say and other sees that as like what happened in Acts.
