Ah, the "No True Scotsman" fallacy. Every time someone doesn't tow the narrow line draw by the Tea Partiers, someone trots out this old canard. So much for having a big tent.

Amen and AMEN. The Tea Party reminds me of selfish children. It is either what they want or nothing. It was the Tea Party, Cruz and company, that planned and created this mess. In fact, I believe the want uncertainty to continue and will do all they can to ensure that continues. If there is no confusion, conflict and threat they have nothing.

McCain and Romney are the two worst Republican nominees since Reagan. The Republicans refused to nominate plenty of more conservative candidates in both years. Obama beat them both, and Republicans got exactly what they deserved.

McCain has no credibility or moral compass. It does not matter how right or wrong the Tea Party is, McCain does not add one way or the other to the debate. I wish the citizens of Arizona would vote him out of the Senate. Mitch McConnell is an exact reflection of McCain and Romney, and pray that the voters of Kentucky give him the boot next year also.

Regardless of McCain's mischaracterization of how the Republicans undertook this fight, the fact remains that the majority of Americans nonetheless want the ACA gutted or defunded. In fact, the Republicans never said they could defund it, but they made it clear the wanted to fundamentally change a program that they agree, along with 57% of the public, that it is a bad piece of legislation.

McCain might have not had enough coffee today, or maybe he got up on the wrong side of bed, but I know he is adamantly against the ACA and joined the Tea Party in voting against the legislation four years ago. I can't explain his comments today, because he knows better. The intent was never actually to defund the ACA because, as McCain accurately points out, the GOP doesn't have a veto-proof majority in both houses. However, we can ask for -- and in fact appear to be accomplishing -- a delay in the individual mandate, which should have been shelved along with the small business rollout three months ago.

Exactaly what does the Tea Party want?
And be sure to indicate which Tea Party, as each one is like a Baptist church - independent of each other.

McCain is a Rhino liberal and needs to retire. No one is surprised by this. He should either retire or go ahead and jump over to the Democrat party.

John McCain a Republican is an oxymoron.
